Prior to the attacks they were collaborating on a project with Ukrainian artist Nina Dzvulkska who is based in Kyiv, The Portland Stamp Company is supporting Voices of Children, an organization that has been helping children affected by the war since 2015.
As soon as hostilities began this year, Nina started making art about the invasion, which led to the creation of these, Support Ukraine Benefit Stamps. They provide psychological & psychosocial support to children exposed to the horrors of war. It helps them move beyond the consequences of war and develop into confident young people.
Right now, during this full-scale unthinkable Russian invasion of Ukraine, they are providing non-stop assistance to children and their families from all over the country, with emergency psychological assistance, & assisting in the evacuation process.
Voices of Children uses a variety of techniques to help children, including art therapy, video story telling, mobile psychologists, and individual help.
Since the beginning of the war they have visited the most dangerous places, and repeatedly been under fire on the front line. They get information first hand, and are on friendly terms with the children who have spent their entire childhood experiencing war.
Their team works in villages and towns along the front lines in the Donetsk & Luhansk regions. Luhansk and Donetsk, are areas that have long been controlled by Russian - backed separatists and that are on the front lines of the current, wider conflict. The organization is now working to support children across the country with emergency psychological assistance and assisting in the evacuation process.

The Portland Stamp Company is celebrating & bringing back the lost art of poster stamps. These stamps measure about 1.5" x 1.5" each and are beautiful representations of the effects of war Ukrainian children.
Printed on gummed paper so that each stamp can be licked to be applied plus they use pinhole perforated done by hand on their antique machines.
They are digitally printed with 15 stamps per sheet.
Packaged in an eco-friendly, vegetable-based cellulose protective sleeve with chipboard backing.
